Chocolate Protein Moringabits by Anna O'Byrne

Who can resist treats in perfect, bite-sized pieces? There’s no other explanation for the enduring success of Timbits. 

Our ‘Moringabits’ are a nod to those super-sweet, doughy little balls, but the similarities end with the shape.

Moringabits contain no sugar or flour. They are vegan and packed with vitamins, antioxidants, healthy fats and protein. These nourishing treats are great for a breakfast on-the-go or a pick-me-up between meals. Best of all, they are super simple and require no baking whatsoever.

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: none!

Servings: approximately 12 Moringabits

Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats
4 Tbsp. Vega One Chocolate smoothie powder or a chocolate protein powder of your choice
1/2 c. almond butter (raw is best)
1/4 c. maple syrup
1/4 c. coconut oil
4 tsp. SuperLeafMoringa powder
For rolling: 2 Tbsp. unsweetened shredded coconut for rolling the balls

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients except coconut together until well-blended.
  • Using a spoon and your hands, roll dough into bite-sized balls.
  • Spread shredded coconut on a plate.
  • Roll each ball until lightly covered in coconut.
  • Refrigerate until use.

Enjoy serving these up to unsuspecting chocolate-lovers. Little will they know they're not only benefiting from the antioxidants in chocolate, but also from the chart-topping antioxidants in Moringa.
